Concurrency presented <strong>SharePoint 2010</strong> with a focus on <strong>ECM and Taxonomy</strong>. Guests were able to uncover the abilities of <strong>SharePoint 2010</strong> that is changing the face of the game.</p>

<p>By using this platform, users are able to integrate with existing Microsoft tools, like Windows and Office in order to provide a low barrier to entry that can engage users to participate in the <strong>ECM </strong>movement. During the event guests learned about the common business goals and challenges of <strong>ECM</strong> that your business may encounter. Guests were also made aware of the classification and leverage of the power of <strong>taxonomy</strong>. Additionally the event speakers demonstrated the powerful <strong>ECM </strong>capabilities when using <strong>SharePoint 2010</strong>. As an extra bonus guests were also able to examine the best-in-class capturing and index tools.</p>

Guest’s witnessed the platforms’ revolutionary web content and extranet capabilities. Live demonstrations of <strong>SharePoint 2010</strong> took place that showcased the power of its web content capabilities from introductory concepts to advanced techniques. The following items were discussed in greater detail:</p>

<li><strong>Exceptional Search and Community Experiences</strong></li>

<p>Guests were taught how to create and share content, publish sites and manage all of these processes with easy-to-use tools. Managing content from multiple sources was another hot topic touched on during the event. Businesses can use their own site, information services, community sites and their own users to manage from almost anywhere. Additionally, guests were engaged on how to keep their customers attention with interactive search and social applications in order to make your site stand out to the rest. With all this information and more there was no hesitation by guests that <strong>SharePoint 2010</strong> is a must have platform for any business.</p>

<p>An excited crowd gathered at the Microsoft Office in Waukesha on April 23rd to learn more about the enhanced features of Microsoft’s Unified Communications 2010. Milwaukee area technology leaders packed the room to see Concurrency’s Nate Lasnoski give a live demonstration of how companies can connect with people via IM, voice, e-mail, desktop sharing, or conferencing directly from Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and OneNote. “This gave us the best “real-life” examples of how we can cut costs on operating expenses,” says CIO of a Waukesha Financial Institution.</p>
<p>Also onsite were local area vendors Polycom, leader in communication devices, Enterasys, industry leader in networking equipment, and tw telecom, Ethernet service providers. Attendees were able to preview Polycom’s phone systems and Enterasys networking equipment.  “We saw that there is a great interest in this product by the high turnout at the event,” says Polycom’s Channel Manager.</p>
